hi and welcome!

I’m Timmy

My love of needle arts started at 7 years old when my mother lovingly gave my sister and me our very first needlepoint kits. I knew immediately that I had come upon something special, and even ended up stitching both mine AND my sister's kits. What followed was decades of love for needlepoint. I began teaching in the early '80s at the local community college in Texas. I learned then that teaching was where my true passion lay. Years later, after being at home with my children, I began teaching again in Southern California. After over 20 years of teaching at local needlepoint shops, I decided that the best way to serve my students was to open my own business. This is when At This Point began. Today, my favorite things to do aside from needlepoint are cooking and spending time with my family, which includes my 3 grown children and 4 beautiful grandchildren.

A few of my favorite things

  • I have been needle pointing for almost 6 decades. It has been such a source of joy for me, and I am grateful for all of the amazing people I have met through teaching + needlepoint

  • I have 3 rescued pups that are some of my favorite things in the world, my children will even argue that I may favor the dogs more than them.

  • My family includes my husband of almost 35 years, my three grown children, and 4 sweet grandchildren.

  • Music is another passion of mine, whether I am working out to my favorite songs, or going to as many concerts as possible, or just discovering new artists to listen to, music is definitely special to me

  • My day just doesn’t feel complete without my daily walks with my pups and a little ride on my Peloton, exercising is how I clear my head and recenter myself for the day ahead.

  • If I am not needlepointing, you will usually find me in the kitchen. I love to cook and bake. Which why I offer a homemade lunch for some of the classes I teach.
